Pretty excited to see how this thing rides. I've ridden some of the best aluminum frames out there (CAAD-8, CAAD-10, Velocite Selene, Spooky Skeletor). Im stoked to add this in there now.

Do you see better shifting with the solid chainring??

Yes actually. However that is not the reason why I bought it. I bought it to make me look fast.

 Of course! I was just wondering if better shifting was a secondary result!!! :beerchug:

I have been considering switching from my shimano 6700 cranks (shift like an absolute dream) and the lighter hollowgrams (shift like crap).......thinking an aero chainring might make it worth the swap.

Beautiful build, 109er. Have a general question for anyone who may have some thoughts. I just bought a used 2008 Cervelo Soloist in the anodized gray, mostly stock build. It's great for shorter, more aggressive rides/training and perfect complement to a Cervelo RS that I use for longer rides. However, I find that it feels sluggish and working a lot harder to keep wheels spinning compared to my RS, even with Dura Ace wheels swapped in. What can you suggest to improve performance?

I can't think of anything major off the top of my head, so I'll say, check your BB bearings/tightness and maybe it's the Gossamer crank. Not a fan of FSA cranks and I have one on my P2 SL

Thanks for the suggestion justkeeppedaling: The bottom bracket/crank was my suspicion, too - good to hear someone else confirm that as a likely cause. After I bought the bike I basically took apart everything for inspection and cleaning/tuning, with the exception of the bottom bracket area. Looks like it has some grime and gunk caught up in it. I don't have bottom bracket tools, so maybe I'll have the shop install a new one - think a dura ace BB is not much more than an Ultegra, so it could be a relatively inexpensive fix for a bump in performance.

And, apologies. I incorrectly listed my brakes as Cervelo Mach 1's. They are actually Cervelo Mach 2, which is good because I want to be able to stop when I am traveling at twice the speed of sound.

Still one of my all time favourite frames! In the best color.
