Sold my Pegoretti Responsorium, and have just ordered a Moots RSL with Super Record EPS in its place, so treated my Seven Diamas to the Pegoretti's 'cast off' Super Record mechanical groupset.

Feels really solid, especially with the Boras. Somehow my Pegoretti and my other ti bikes feel light and delicate (not literally, just in terms of road feel). The Diamas feels like a real bruiser. The perfect crit bike. Light, but solid, stiff and aggressive. I have tried it with Lightweight Standards, Hyperons, Zipp 202s and the Boras hit the spot.

Fits me like a glove before anybody asks about the spacers. I would rather have spacers than a huge headtube, so went that way.

Shame about the red accents on the wheels and groupset. It matches some bikes, but not this one I think. I don't want to de-decal the wheels, and there's not much I can do about the groupset accents.

I did have them on but it was all a bit 'Black and White'.

I also have far too many wheels, so the lightweights have been sold.

It was a tough call, but Dario is such a traditionalist that getting him to make a frame for EPS would be difficult and I just couldn't bear another 12-18 months of waiting, and that paint job was far too nice to destroy by either internally drilling or having Dario amend it and have it repainted. It was a true one off.

I already have a 2012 Speedvagen cyclocross on order which will mean waiting for another 6 months and I just haven't got the patience for another Pegoretti, however lovely they are. By the time it finally arrived I was frankly over it.
