Bit of an update, I've put in about 400km on the bike since my last post. The groupset gave me a bit of trouble at first, but it must have just been settling in, as it's been perfect since. My initial concern about the reach and saddle were non issues, the Regal is comfortable, and provides a really solid platform when climbing in the saddle. The longer reach to the hoods is actually quite comfortable now that I've got some fitness back and, combined with the bigger saddle/handlebar drop compared to my last bike, I can get into a fairly aero position while still riding on the hoods.

how do you like that bar in the drops when sprinting? is there enough "flat" in the drops to hang onto without your wrists hitting the top? i'm looking around for a set of new bars and really like the shape of what you have there.
the build looks awesome. clean, simple, perfect. congrats on the journey!
The drops are real nice. My hands don't hit the tops at all, but I bend my arms quite a bit while sprinting. The bar reach is pretty small, so it shouldn't be a problem for most.

Hello tcurtbike,
I've been following your build and it looks very good. I have also been trying to get a SuperSix through ebay with no success so far. Originally I thought that I needed the 52 cm frame like yours. After looking at the way Cannondale sizes its frames I am now thinking I need the 54 cm frame since the virtual center-center seat tube length is 52 cm on the 54 cm frame. Would you mind posting the saddle height from the center of the bottom bracket?
For reference, I currently race on a 51 cm Cervélo R3. I am not that happy with how the bike handles and I think it may be the very short front-center dimension on the bike. Anyway, TIA for any information that you can provide.
Sorry about the late reply, I hope it hasn't stopped you buying a Supersix. A couple of measurements for you:
Top of saddle to middle BB: 73cm (The Regal is quite a tall saddle)
Nose of saddle to bars: 51.5cm
Saddle/Handlebar drop: 10.5cm
There are usually a couple of Supersix framesets on eBay, but as you've obviously discovered the smaller sizes are a bit rare. Keep watching though, they turn up occasionally. You might bag a 2010 Supersix, as there seems to be an influx of those.
My three frameset choices were actually an R3, Supersix or a TCR Advanced SL. I didn't have an option to ride an R3 because there isn't a Cervelo dealer in my town. What is the handling like?
