Was that the world cup carbon or the aluminum CSU? I am considering getting the WC and was curious on the weight with remote.

I,m presently considering a new fork and cannot understand which 29er XX WC fork weighs in at 1478gr.
Is it the RCT3, by any chance?

It is the one with the carbon crown but you might want to look at this first. This guy claims the carbon crown is not as stiff so that would be a deal breaker for me.

yep, my WC RCT3 (9mm QR) 2012 came in @ 1480grams with uncut steerer
my friends WC RCT3 2012 including 15mm axle was 1570grams

like noted previously XX lockout would add ~40grams
