I've got a Litespeed Tanazi from 2005. It's too heavy. It's XTR - equipment all over and some other standard components delivered from Litespeed. My weight is almost 100 kg... so I can't heave the thinnest materials on everything.., I guess. I hope somebody can give me some advise. HTv from Norway.

What's your build list? I recently put together a Cervelo for a chap weighing 100 kilos. Still got the weight under 6kg!

I'm not good in the teknical descriptions, but I'll try. I guess U understand when U see the "names":

Gear, disc-breakes, wheels, chain: Shimano XTR
Gear...-11-27(32) and in front 46 on top
Stem: FSA XC140 Alloy
Stearing ??? BBB NCA Carbon Fiber
Seatpost: Thomson Elite, 40 cm I think. didn't "open" it
Seat: A guy is making a new seat for me in Carbon righet now. It's 80 gram
Barhands: BBB NCA Carbon
Grip: OURY
Fork: Pace 2,35 titanum Inside
The "rings holding the fork": Chris King "no thread set"
Eggbeaters titanium
Crank: FSA Carbon Pro ISIS drive
Frame: Litespeed Tanasi.

That's what i can find of spec. I hope it's possible to understand this. It's the first time I try to express these "things" in English and I even don't know all the expressions in norwegian....

I'v left home now, but I think its Continental ..something.. 2.0 with tubes. I think the weight is about 300 grams

Hm, and what is the total weight of your bike? What do you consider as "a heavy bike"?
You can save some weight replacing the stock XTR wheels (they are about 1.500g) for some custom built ones. Then use lighter disc brake rotors.

Tanasi frame weight around 1400 g you can build a bike sub 9000 g :wink:

11kg is too much. With the components spec you stated above it should be lighter than 10kg.

Yes, the spokes are wired together (ligatured).
This is a technical mainly used in cyclo-cross. It avoids a spoke, when broken to disturb the wheel when turning. It has normally no effect on the wheel stiffness.

You can purchase a special BSA-BB30 kit (including bearings, special spindle (cnc reworked) and zipp tool) at DR.Cannondale (germany)

Personnaly, I changed the bearing cups with original Zipp VumaQuad ones.
The systems works perfectly with a BSA Bottom bracket.
