Two questions:
1) Will I need to grease the carbon rails of the Speedneedle?
2) Should I grease the seat post before inserting it into the seat tube? It's a carbon Scott Scale, but I believe there's a layer of Al in the tube.
Thanks in advance!

I'd also like to know how much torque to apply when mounting the Speedneedle on the seat post. The head of the seat tube says 16 Nm, surely this wouldn't be good for a saddle with carbon rails? I've searched for info on this, without any luck.

16NM is fairly damn tight... I'd be expecting 8Nm to be tight enough.
As for grease - NEVER EVER use grease on carbon, it buggers it up.
You can use carbon paste though available from Tacx which is made for use on Carbon parts.

For carbon on alloy or the other way around? Or carbon on carbon?

Mounted the seatpost and saddle. Took the bike for a very short run. Feels much more comfortable than the stock Scott saddle I had before.
Going to test the new chair tomorrow, but happy so far.
Thank you for helping The next project will be a new wheelset
