Just seen a weight listed for the new Hope 'mono' minis. According to Chain reactions bike shop (see link) they weigh 375g, so not much lighter than the old minis and a fair bit heavier than Marta SLs or Formula B4s.

Think I might get some anyway though!!

Is the lever still the same?

Are there any light weight upgrades for the Mini's?

I just checked notubes.com out and he 'might' make pads for other brands so that could be a possible upgrade...I remember hearing about carbon levers as an upgrade anybody know anything about that?

The levers are staying the same as before as they were very popular apparently.

I would also be interested to hear about any upgrades available, although they look really good already.

Well the hope mini monos got home and got weighed.

Front 414g all in, rear, 384g.

Front has about two feet too much cable at the moment (they must have thought I was riding some sort of chopper) so a few grams should go there once I have a bleed kit.

Can't tell you how they ride yet as I haven't finished setting them up. Feel a bit soft at the lever at the moment but I'm sure I'll get used to them. I set up my Vs with very low tolerances (hell of a noise when you come out of a gritty puddle) as I like the 'hard' feel at the lever. Guess the extra power/wet weather performance should make up for the change though.

Watch this space....
