Trends change a bit with this. I'm more or less committed to black on my bike, but am quite liking the gunmetal colour that Hope are doing now

Lots of lovely silver bits look classy, esp. when mated with blue
so, erm, can I vote twice?!!
Black look great for *stealth* and on DH bikes IMHO
...and you should only be allowed to use purple components if you have a handlebar moustache and think that those CND canti brake hangers from the mid nineties are still cool

Black is great on stealth bikes.
Blue is great on on blue (and some reds) as well as Motrola colour bikes.
Red is great on red bikes (they are faster ).
Green is good because no-one else has it.
Purple will never go on anything I own.
