my new bike is here!

My new bike came today, Cannondale Scalpel 2000. I'm getting it dialed, I'll get pics up soon. I was hoping for 23 lbs, but I'm thinking maybe 24lbs now, with 22 lbs aspirations.

Thanks! I'm pretty stoked, The biggest weight issue right now is the wheels, but in maybe a year I'm going to upgrade to Stan's olympic with Woodman lefty hub and AM classic rear+revos, which should take at least a half pound off (however, the wheels on there now seem pretty heavy, especially due to the UST tires...speaking of which is there any difference mounting non-USTs to UST rims?)

You should be telling us, don't you work in a shop...

I used to run non-UST tyres occassionally on my old(er) Mavic X3.1's. No problems. Be sure to get the tyre bead seated properly on the rim - I used to have to pump mine up to around 60psi before they 'popped' on, then let some air out.

I work in a lame shop that never gets to mount UST tires. HA!
