I'm looking for a light crankset for my XtC Composite 05.

I've seen the Fastfoot by Tune... 690 grams approximatively.

There is the Extralite Extrafish, less beautiful I think...

There also is Propeller Titanium, but it's too expensive for me.

Requested Weight in 3x9 : less than 700 grams.

Any suggestion ?

go for the tune with TA chainrings and the smallest chainring should be a tune triebtreter.

Thats my setup for 2 years now (the big foot is almost the same as the fast foot - just hex-tapered)
Principia MSLe Pro 9543g
If you accidently had to, could your bike take a smaller downhill ?

OK, that's also my choice : Tune Fasfoot 175 mm with Sixpack Ti 113 mm bottom bracket and TA chainrings in 20-32-42 (I've got a Dura Ace 11/27).

Estimated weight : 685 grams.

Estimated price : 580€.

Let's go !

Take the Storck PowerArms Pro. I had one for 6 years without any problems. Now I put them on my winterbike and bought a new set with isis. I like them. They are realy stiff. I weight 80kg.

Hey Marcus,

I was just wondering what model those Specialites TA rings are? All the ones I have seen look very different :?

Also where did you get them and the cranks? Both Specialites TA & Storck are almost unheard of here in Australia.

Thanx

Hey Cul,

No idea how we'd get Storck in Australia but I live right near the importer of Specialties TA for Australia. I asked him about them and he didn't have anything to say about the company. He likes the components but has nearly given up trading with them as they stuff him around so much.

Hopefully he can do something about it.

Cya, John.

It sucks, but really the way that the bike industry is here in Australia, we are a small market so we dont really matter, apparently

I live in germany and I got the parts from the shop where I buy all my parts.
I think you can get the parts also at our sponsor www.gypzybikz.com.

Could someone please translate?

connecting rods = cranks
durisimas = durable
so that sight I can give = I see that, or that I can see
cane them = ??
does not ronpen = do not flex?
nor anything to me = that I can tell

Thus: these are my cranks that are durable [then the bit I can't work out] and they do not flex that I can tell

What language is this supposed to be translated from anyway?? :?
