I know this isn't exactly a weight weenie subject, but anyway:

Has anyone tried the hopey steering damper? Is it possible to use it with a sid wc carbon fibre fork?

Hey.....yes I have one and they are awsome!

However, you cannot use one with the SID Carbon fork. The SID carbon has a solid end plug at the bottom of the steer tube that cannot be removed (If I remember correctly). In order to install the damper you have to be able to put it in through the top of the steer tube and then tighten down a nut from the bottom of the steer tube. So the solid end prevents you from doing this.

If you want more info, let me know.

So I'm out of luck. The sid wc has a one piece head tube and there is actually no plug or anything, it's just solid carbon fibre.

Are there any other similar products that could be used with the sid wc fork?
