Cheaper version of the SID that don't seem to have many disadvantages. Thinking of swapping my Duke SLs for a pair (significantly lighter) but a bit worried that it would be a downgrade.

Any thoughts?

Pilots are a SID with steel inner legs. This should actually make the forks stiffer (an allegation that has never been leveled at a SID!)

The valving feels like it is 1 or 2 years old compared with the "same" SID.
