thats easy figure out where u from by looking yr bike parts. Btw, its difficult to find DT revolutions in Singapore. They didnt bring in because of its reliability. But i've seen ppl riding with all titanium spokes on their bike using disc brake without any problem, really. For me, i use wheelsmith spokes which i use now. I just want reliable wheel to train and to race.
For hub, i find american classic is the best. Quite reliable and smooth. Lighter than the hugis. For the crank, try extralite.
Good luck in finding light parts, pal and dont be a poser! :P

As a fellow Singaporean, what light weight and easy-to-get parts can you recommend ? Im not exactly willing to pay so much for shipping.

Im particularly looking for a lightweight crankset and wheelset.

Crankset:
Was thinking of FRM Cu2 Evo ISIS bottom bracket. Can you get these locally ? I haven't decided which crankarms and chain rings to get. Anything you can recommend ?

Wheelset:
Intending to get DT Hugi 240s, DT Revolution spokes, Mavic X517s. Any other suggestions ?

Lastly, care to share your bike specifications here ?

I recently got a seatpost clamp from italy direct from extralite.

£14 for the seatpost clamp.

£2 to post from Italy to UK.

Arrived around 3 days later.

Great customer service!

Can't see why they couldn't get stuff to Singapore.

Big difference between 12g seatpost clamp and a frame / crankset though. Just depends on what you are ordering!

Mep, have u tried shave some grams by upgrading to alu bolts. i bought 10 alu water bottle cage bolts for S$5.50. i put on my disc rotor and clamp bolts on rear and front. Its from minoura. they stated;

Ultra light weight but as durable as steel screws, while stronger than titanium screws.
Three different sizes are available; M5x12, M5x16 and M5x20.
5 anodized colors are available that can be color co-odinated with your frame (silver, titanium, purple, blue and red).

i recommend it on buying this cheapos.

That's interesting - ultralight alu bolts as durable as steel while stronger than titanium...

They cant be alu IMHO - must be the elusive material unobtanium... :D
