It's about 210g for a Top Slick in 26 x 1" size from Hutchinson (differents models and weights !).

Some not so light 26" slicks:

Kenda Norco 1.62" - 464 g
IRC Metro 1.5" (actually wider than above) - 743 g
Debica Agama 1.75" (Polish tyre) - about 610 g
Nokian Cityrunner 1.9" (bulletproof) - about 805 g
Best regards,

Thanks guys.

I'm really looking for something around 1.2" - 1.5" in width. Just enough to take a bit of shock out of the bumps in the road.

I just got some Panaracer Paselas for my 26" rims. They are 26x1.25 and 290 grams.

MEC has them for $22.50 CDN:

If you're going to use slicks on an MTB, make sure your rims aren't too wide for a 1.25" tire.

...bought some Continental Avenue semi-slicks a couple of weeks ago as I got a good deal on them.

At 370grams they're not the lightest, but nice and quick and grip well.

Thanks for the help.

I use Continental Grand Prix's 1" (folding) there extremely light and easy to fit. The ride quality can be harsh at times but you get used to it, if your on the road that is, don't try and take these off road :D, these tyres served me well on a 180 mile road cycle, my wrists weren't any sorer that with thicker tyres, adopt a slightly softer grip on the bar or barends and its fine. I used to use a cheaper pair of tioga city slicker 1" but these babies didn't roll as fast, still quite good though. Sorry i've never tried 1.25 so can't offer any advice there, sounds like your sorted anywayz![/list]
