Has anyone used Aluminum disc rotors? Thinking about buying some but talked to one person and he said it squealed a little in the beginning, but fades afterwards. Just curious. I'm thinking about buying a set. It'll cost some $$ since I'll have to buy a pair of rotors and a pair of Organic pads for the disc brakes. I've already invested a lot in the bike. So far, everything came out ok, just a little hesitant about the Aluminum Rotors. Not many people I know around use or used them. Thanks.

P.S. If I do get them, bike will be 22lbs. for a full suspension.

Plus is the stopping power equal or better than stainless rotors?

I had some for a time on my Formula B4 SL+ set-up. It's true they take more bedding in than steel rotors and they did squeal. They didn't bite as well as the steel but for XC use they are fine (unless your doing a serious amount of downhills).

Two pics attached showing you the weight difference between a steel rotor and an aluminium one. Both are 160mm.
