is it really worth it to get the XTR di2 or should I just get XT di2 and spend the savings elsewhere, like a better frame or better wheels?

My opinion is that you'll see more performance benefit from better wheels or frame than an upgrade from second tier (xt) to top tier (xtr) groupset. My XT Di2 is perfect. It just weighs a little more and doesn't look as nice. The weight is offset in wheels which I wouldn't have had money for if I bought XTR.

I think the weight difference is 16 grams. If so, given the $150-$200 price difference, definitely use the savings elsewhere.

on xt di2 here too and rode xtr di2. Cant tell any difference at all. if you are after weight savings most of it is in the cassette/cranks anyways. Pair it with SRAM XG 11spd cassette for best of both worlds.

Shop hard. You'll find XTR off a demo bike for the same price as XT.
