Hi!

Is there any major geometry difference between Scott Scale and Scott Scale Contessa bike frame? I know it is different frame geometry, but is it significantly different?
Can man ride woman bike frame or conversely can woman ride man bike frame? Eg. if man rides M size Scott Scale, can he ride L size woman frame?

Thanks

Absolutely, but in most cases he/she should probably be on the same frame size no matter if it's a Contessa or not.
I can't say for sure with every model from every year (this can of course be checked comparing geometry charts) but often the Contessa frames actually have the same frame geometry as a regular "unisex" Scott, but they are equipped with a narrower handlebar and a womens specific saddle to better suit women.

For example, if you compare a 2017 Scale with a 2017 Contessa Scale (both 29") the geometry is exactly the same even though they have a different frame design (bent toptube on the Contessa etc).

Here are geometry data. Is there any significant difference between Contesa and Scale frame.

If man rides Scale in size L is it ok to ride Contessa in size L?

Dunno where you got those numbers from.
The scott sports website shows that the L frames in Contessa scale and Scale are identical

I had a quick look at Scott's website and a complicating factor is that at least one of their geometry charts is completely wrong. The Contessa Scale 700 chart is way, way off base. The quoted stack is impossibly low.

Ok. I was looking at 29ers.

Might help with exactly which two models you are trying to compare, and exactly why you want to know.

Carbon frame Scott Scale 710 vs. carbon frame Scott Contessa Scale 700 RC.

It seems like there might be a difference, but the geometry chart for the Contessa 700s and 700 RC is definitely wrong. Very wrong. If you don't have examples you can physically measure then you might need to email Scott.

It seems to be a mistake on Scott website.

Mistake also here... https://www.scott-sports.com/de/de/prod ... e-910-Bike . Aluminium frame, but in the Key Features carbon frame is written.
