26" still popular with touring as it builds a stronger wheel and the odd opinion I've seen is under height of 5'10" then 26" still suits...

I think she is on a 27,5 nowadays. and her riding position is not that extrem/aggressive.

True, but it does highlight that writing off 29ers for people below average height is just daft....

29ers work for shorter folk just fine. If you are 5ft or under that maybe not be true.

29ers are simply quicker, not only is rolling resistance lower but they traverse bumps in the trail much easier. Rigid 26ers are hard work, a rigid 29er is not.
