Hi , new to W/W post . Ive owned a 2015 Cannnondale scalpel Team in a small size and are interested in the New 2017 Cannondale Scalpel in a small which now has 27.5 wheels . I love the Scalpel because of its sharp handling and the bigger wheels which do seem to roll over most surfaces with ease , where i mainly ride is very rocky and very raw .
Do you think that i would notice and big difference with the New Scalpel in the way the smaller wheels would handle the conditions and therefore be a lot slower ? On occasion I've had to ride my old 26'' Trek and it feels dangerous compared to the 29'' wheels on the Cannondale . :noidea:

I think the significantly revised geometry on the 2017 Scalpel will be the bigger factor (compared to the wheel size change). Are you able to test ride one somewhere?

No , not as yet . I live in Australia and Cannondale haven't been very active in the past few years . I'll ring the Importer and find if any bike shops have stock .
Thnx,s for your reply
