Folks,
Not really a weightweenie MTB topic, but there's a lot of knowledge in here so I figure I'd ask.
I'm building a new bike for the enduro season next year - an Intense Carbine 29C - and I have come to the most important part of the bike - the fork. I've narrowed it down to the two in the title, the Rockshox Lyrik RCT3 and the (2017) Fox 36 Float Factory. I've mentioned the 2017 Fox 36 as the new FIT4 damper has a reportedly more supple initial stroke than the preceding damper.
Both are great forks and I can get them for around the same price so I have no issue related to pricing - does anyone have experience on both of the forks that might shed some light or assist with my decision.
FWIW, most of the Enduro courses here are rocky and loose, with a few big hits (drops, jumps etc.) thrown in for good measure. The fork itself will be a 160mm 29''.
Thanks

What about a DVO diamond?
Not good in the weight perspective, but really plush, and have all kinds of adjustment. I switched my pike out for the diamond, and im really glad i did. The Dvo is stiffer, and gives way more traction on the front wheel, due to that the fork is more plush. I had my pike custom tuned to be more plush and with more compression at the same time (i like a lot of HSC) but was never really happy with it,
Just a tought, cant compare the the lyrik, but tried a 36 (the 2015 i believe) And that was stiff put not as plush as i like it.
