I have a vision a 29er fat bike. It must be possible some how. the frame could be custom build but the trick is the rims 100mm wide or so and the tyres. Does anyone make such things. I can't be the only one who has thought a bat bike would be a good idea.

yes I am hoping someone on here has spotted something on the market that I have not yet. Tyres are the difficult thing. I have found 36" tyres 29x3" are becoming more common, 50mm wide 29er rims exsist but so far no joy on a 622x75mm rim or 622x100mm or wider tyres.

As I said am I alone in having this crazy idea.

I think your about 6months ahead of your time. 29+ hasn't quite taken off yet, tyres seem to limited to 3inch and rims at 50mm, maybe we'll see something wider as we approach the winter.

By the way why do you want a 29 fat bike? Trying to ride across the local lake?

riding across a lake is a brilliant idea. Why do I want one? I have an aversion to suspension so larger wheels with a bigger air volume is the obvious solution.
