I have a Magura TS8 eLECT 2015 fork, and realizing I always have the automatic lockout switched off and rarely (if ever) use the electroni lockout I'm thinking about exchanging the damper unit for something lighter without lockout. Is this possible, or is the only option to the mechanical lockout units (which are heavier I understand)? My old Durin SL had an Albert SL damper unit, no lockout and it performed really well, is there anything similar to this?

ShiftUp is probably the lightest damper. I absolutely love the one in my SID and it is definitely a massive performance upgrade

ShiftUp is definitely lighter, or the lightest, only problem is OP needs it for a Magura TS8 and they only make SID cartridges now. They used to make a cartridge for Magura Durin, but….
