They both seem to have the same weight, (in the real world), and they both have the same instruction criteria regarding bar ends.

I have had an old EC70 before (then known as the CT2), and the MAXM is pretty new in the UK.

Which bar do you people think?

I like the look of MAXMs Isogrid but if we're talking real world differences it probably comes down to price.

EC70 £50
MAXM £60
EC90 £70

You could probably find better prices if you search but these are what I've seen recently.

Some may find the graphics on the Eastons a little more taasteful, some like the MX style of the MAXMs.
.....but it still has to work!

...and you get a little bit of extra width on the MAXM.

Earthworm Jim asked for thoughts about the EC70 and a Maxm MX1 bar.
Not EC90 and not ControlTech Scandium.
Please try to stay on topic.

Jim,

The shop that sponsors me carries Titus bikes so I have seen a bunch of the Maxm bars. They are really nice!! I'm specing out a new bike now and plan on running the Maxm low-rise bar.

If I had to choose between the EC70 and the Maxm, I would pick the maxm 100% of the time.
