Does anyone know the answer to this? What is the weight of the standard XTR M9000 cage (medium and long)? My gram scale isn't very accurate, so that's why I'm asking.

It'll save a few g's, the Shimano stock ones have been getting lighter and lighter so the difference is likely as small as ever.

Fibre-Lyte know their stuff... why not email them?

If you can't weigh a few g's accurately then you won't see a difference on the scales and there won't be any difference on the trails either :D

The other obvious comment would be.... what self respecting weightweenie doesn't have a decent scale

Haha! Very true;P I don't think any further weight reductions I do (currently the build is between 6.6 and 6.7kg) will actually make me a better rider;P Certainly not savings as small as that, but... You know how these things are...
