Sold my 2015 Epic Elite Carbon and getting a 2013 Stumpjumper FSR 29 S-Works (black & white edition).

It´s been build up by previous owner, who has not used it much as he´s focusing on XC (my luck). The frames is from 2015 so almost brand new.

Existing parts

Frame: S-works Fact 11 Carbon frame (2669g)
Fork: RockShox Revelation RCT3 (1834g)
Bar: Specialized 720mm flatbar (alu - claimed 190g) will look for a Carbon bar
Grips: ESI Chunky
Stem: 70mm alu (claimed 100g)
Trigger: X01 (95g)
Crankset: X01 32T (655g + ring)
Cassette: X01 10-42T (275g)
Rear Derailleur: Sram GX (265g)
Wheelset: Fullcrum Red Passion (1398)
Wheels: Ground Control 29 2,3 (720g) front- and 2.1 (660g) rear
Brakes: Magura MT8 w. Centerline 160mm front- and rear (299g + 238g)
Saddel: Phenom (143mm - 253g)
Seatpost: S-works 400mm (271g)

Any obvious improvement besides replacing the handlebare with a Carbon bar?

Would love some carbon wheel set, but the Red Passion is actually lighter than most carbon sets, as it uses carbon hubs

Even if it means gaining weight, a carbon wheelset will be an improvement on that bike, I think... The Fulcrums must be quite flimsy at that weight. Also, they're not very wide at 21 mm inside width.

Another weight-adding improvement: get a dropper post. A Stumpy should have a dropper if you're gonna ride it like it was intended to be run.

Seatpost is heavy for a fixed, a dropper makes more sense, although I use a QR clamp and swap between a fixed lightweight carbon and a 'crotch dropper' depending on the ride.

Bars are an obvious one as is (more so the) saddle, the grips are fairly heavy and you could get lighter if it suites you.

The GX rear mech is heavier than the X01...and pretty lardy by any standard, I know the damper adds weight but my old LX was lighter than that!
Impoverished weight weenie wanna-be!
