These pics are interesting. It looks like the crown is a lot narrower than the old forks and the cutout is needed to create space for the disc.

I wonder if the forks are not narrower, but are Boost compatible.

It looks to me like the forks are the same overall width as previous 32s, but because of the "cutout" on the lowers (it's on both sides), can take Boost110 front hubs.

Interesting stuff.

Looks like the Titanium crown that has been on team only forks since 2010/ 2011 or so on the orange versions but not sure on the all black OEMs (look different to me but it may be my eyes playing tricks on me!).

I'm assuming the cutouts mean that the bottom of the damper and air spring have been moved up in the lower to save weight (like the SID's) leaving the bottom section of the leg as just a carrier for the dropout.

"Aimed squarely at the XC racer, it takes a very novel approach to shaving weight. Actually, several approaches, using both a narrower crown and stepped lowers."

except those were unreliable, heavy yet flexy & didnt actually work that well. everything in mtb has been tried before at some point. its the quality, performance & for utmost importance for this forum, weight that make this new Fox 32 look like a very promising fork. I've got 1 on order

Not saying it's a bad fork and not saying the old Mazza was good, just correcting the 'novel' bit.....obvious from my wording really?
