Hi
I've built up a ktm myroon 650b carbon for my son to race on.
The build sits at 20lbs.
The fork is a fox 32 evolution about 2 years old I guess.
As a replacement what is light?
Tapered, 15mm axle.
Thanks in advance.

You could get a 90mm 29er lefty and space it up to 100mm travel. Still gives you plenty of clearance for a 650b wheel.

Plus then you've got a lefty as well!

The lauf is not comparable to a proper suspension fork, more an alternative to a rigid fork with a bit of give.

If the XX is out of budget, what is your budget so we can make suggestions based on that?

I put extended leg Fournales on my kids 650b. I cut, machined some sleeves, bonded them, through in oven for 20 minutes and he was go to go.

A cheaper route would be doing the same to Amp Research forks.

You just can't beat the weight with these two options. And link forks rock!

Rock Shox SID XC Air Fork 80mm at 2.8lbs are next in line and in your price range. One just sold on eBay for $80 usd. You will need to shave a little under the fork brace to have decent mud clearance. Great fork for a kid.

You can get a taper adaptor bottom cup for 1 1/8 steer tube to fit. I think I have a new, Extralite one going on eBay soon. 99 cents No Reserve. just like all my ww bikes, parts & gear...accident.
