hi

I have been using mavic xc717 for the past 10 years , very nice, and stiff. A bit heavy compared to a stans podium.

I like to use clincher tires and inner tubes. wide 26 x 2.0

I wonder would I be disappointed with a stans podium? It costs a fair bit more i notice.

will it flex and bend compared to a mavic?

i think a bit more weight is worth better handling? ( even 100 grams a wheel, rotational weight.)

i just wonder if anyone has experience with different rims.

thanks.

max psi of stans is no issue if you're running mtb tires tubeless. Only really becomes an issue if you also want to run slicks and skinnies.

hi thanks

I use 26 x2.0 slicks on the road... at about 60 psi.

so i need a bit more strength on these tyres.

thanks for your reply .
have a good week.

The max pressure of stans rims doesn't always apply if you use tubes.
You'd need to do some digging to get chapter and verse though.
