I just broke my Tune handlebar on a silly fall and want to replace it with another light one. It should be 700mm, flat, 8-12 degrees.
My first choice would be MCFK, my only worry is that if I managed to brake the Tune that has 110kg weight limit, does MCFK that has 100kg limit would be a good choice ? I have 80kg.
What other options would I have ? I like AX (my saddle is AX endurance after my Tune (off-course .. ) saddle broke also, not accident this time) and I find it more resistant that Tune but I really would like a 3K carbon handlebar and AX doesn't have one... :(

I was in a similar situation damaging very light bars in innocuous knocks. I was fed up that just clipping a tree writes off a ton of money. I have tried most bars and been very happy with either Mt Zoom (lightest, cheap to replace and crash replacement policy) and my favourite is Easton EC90 SL (lighter than claimed, cheap in the UK and appears more durable than most others).

I had a number of Mt Zoom products back in my mtb days and found them to be excellent, never had a single problem with any of them.

I use Schmolke bars and they look amazing , are super strong and extremely lightweight, you just have prepared to shed the cash

I'm pretty sure the Tune bars are made by Schmolke.

An FSA K-Force flatbar is not too heavy (~ 150 g), and seems quite sturdy to me so far (I weigh 70).

MCFK are nice but 125g claimed for 720mm. So not that light for a lot of money.

New Ultimate are well priced and will save you ~15g over the Easton or ~10g over the Mt Zoom but I cracked 2 sets at the end of the grips with the smallest clip of a tree- they are very thin at the ends.

My Easton EC90 SL are 124g real weight and I paid £75 or so on CRC. No super glamorous but they seem very solid and have no weight limits AFAIK

AFAIK the old models were, but their new bars and posts are made in-house.

You broke the turnstange?

I have one, cut down to 700mm (106 grams) and with some falls I've had no problem, until now at least..

Yes, mine was cut to 710mm, the fall was a stupid one on a flat low speed section, I think that I fell on the handlebar which somehow made some kind of a lever with the ground...

Both my wife and I race often. Crashes when pushing the limit happen... We've since given up on non robust parts.

I know Enve flat bars aren't the lightest. But, they aren't bad and more importantly, I think you could take a hammer to them and they wouldn't break.

I've had good luck with Niner Flat Top RDO and Syntace bars as well.
