Any comments on these? Reviews I can find seem to date quite a bit. A lot of people advise getting xpedo but the force 8 are much more expensive, the force 4 seem to be similar weight and price as the exustar.

These would be used for racing, are the xpedo force 4 better then the exustar 25?

Personally I don't like pedals that use bushings (Exustar). I'd take the Xpedos. The M-Force 8 Crs are only a bit more expensive than the M-Force 4 Tis, but should last longer (Ti vs. Al body) if durability is your concern.

How do the xpedo compare to the shimano in terms of feeling? Is the interface between shoe and pedal feels pretty much the same?

I have been riding both the Shimano XTR and Xpedo MForce 8 ti. The difference is minimal with the XTR feeling a bit more stable, mainly due to the fact that the Xpedo cleat gets to wear out quite quickly due to having a brass contact point with the pedal. Once the cleat wears out, the stability is not the same at all.

If you are looking for shoe pedal interface stability, then I can recommend the Speedplay Syzr. I have been riding them since two months, and the stability and float is on another level.

I was using Shimano cleats with the Xpedo pedals.
Still not 100% as stable.
Issues with clip-in, clip-out.
The Xpedo pedals feel can change a lot based on whether they are clean, dirty, lubed, dry, etc.
Some days you clip in and it feels all wrong.
I never get that with a Shimano pedal.
This makes a Shimano pedal worth the weight penalty to me.

Thanks boots2000

I might go for the XTR pedals with Ti axles. Im not quite sure the new XTR m9000 can be upgraded with Ti axle yet though
