2016 Cannondale Scalpel
Moderator: Moderator Team
It's almost time for 2016. Some photos are starting to come up and a few new releases have been leaked. Hopefully this isn't everything that comes up in 2016. But I'll start it off...

I was hoping that they'd make the Ai offset on the Scalpel as well... It would be very convenient if the same wheels could be used on the F-Si and the Scalpel (what's wrong with Ai 12mm axle?). It doesn't look like it though.

So the rumor is Cannondale is coming out with three scalpels in 2016. The standard scalpel, which I hope is the picture posted above. A FSi version of the scalpel, that Marsbar and I would be happy to see introduced. Finally a long travel scalpel (120 or 130) to align with the Anthem X. One thing is for sure, C'Dale is keeping a tight wrap on the new products this year.

No more OPI Stem .

You can see the new stem in the pics from the original post as well.
I wonder why the CFR riders aren't using it, at least in the recent World Cup races.
I guess they are coming up with variety of angles and lengths stem options
that are lacking in OPI .

I'm also curious about the OPI stem. It looks much cleaner IMO, and it shouldn't be a problem to make it in other lengths. Maybe it's too expensive to make?
Anyway, I have a 60 mm 1.5" Cannondale stem and a SuperMax steerer tube in my cupboard waiting to be installed on my F-Si.

I guess they aren't going to call it the Scalpel X. It looks to have 650b wheels and the new spidering.
