I am interested to know how he got the extra cog to fit on the freehub, have you any more details?

the 44T cog is made from ARI BIKE and it is made as spare for a stock 42T Sram XX cog.

in this case, it's only placed at the end of the XD body.

it comes with 2 spacers, not used in this case

the XX1 cassette is placed in the XD body, screwed a bit less as usual.

on a 135mm hub this tuning won't fit. it requires a 142mm hub.

you need to remove H and L limit screws from RD.

you need to remove stop on the X01 shifter.

Nice job. :)

But question is, if is realy necessery for 12 speed cassette?!

It's much heavy,and on this big sprocket the chain will have a very short life.
