Anyone tried using 11speed road shifters with a 10 speed rear MTB derailier and a 11 speed cassette?
Thinking now 11 speed road uses more cable pull it might operate fine with 10spg Mtb stuff( rear)

Sounds like this works fine with SRAM but I'd imagine it's a no-go with Shimano.

10 spd sram road shifters have identical pull to the MTB so those can be mixed and matched.

Sram 11 speed is definitely not mtb compatible and I think everything else is also a no go as well.

Sram 10 and 11 speed stuff can be mixed as well, eg 10 speed shifters with 11 speed mechs.
Just not a fan of sram so trying to work with Shimano, got the front sorted just working on a way to use a 34 at the back or if possible the Xtr 40tooth 11 speed cassette with the road sti
