my post's clamp length for the rails is pretty short. its 7/8". where as the other posts I've had are 1.25"
its a cheap chinese carbon post. this is the zero set back one. I have the set back version of this post and it has a 1.25" clamp length but its the single bolt
do you guys think its ok or should I ditch it? my last seat had metal rails and they didn't get bent. also, the bolt on the right is making a mark under the seat so I guess I should shorten it.

Looks like you've used it for a while so why worry now?
Try the post the other way round, looks like you have the longer rear bolt at the front and may not have enough thread on the rear bolt (which should be at the front).
With the saddle that far back wouldn't you be better with an offset post?
