Hi there,
First post for me, (although regular reader)
I ride a 2013 Cannondale Bad Boy 2 with the headshok fork (50mm travel)
I measured axle to crown 480mm and rake 45.
I am always driving with suspension locked, so I am planning to get a rigid carbon fork.
Lot's of choices in 470-480mm axle to crown, but what should I expect if I choose something like 450mm or 420mm, in handling?

Steeper head angle and raised BB are 2 things you'll need to consider, along with just a generally low front end (assuming you won't just bring the front end up with lots of spacers. It'll just get more twitchy. I wouldn't recommend going too much shorter than what you have already.
420 will feel bad, a 450 you may be ok with, bear in mind your measurement is without sag, take sag into account and you are lowering it by less.
Shorter fork will obviously lower the BB not raise it!

Impoverished weight weenie wanna-be!

Finally bought a Chinese (yoeleo) carbon fork 445mm a-c, 38 rake to replace a cannondale headshok dl50 with 45 rake....
I am also replacing stem and bars...from 90mm, 7 rise stem and 620 bars, to 85mm, -10rise 3t stem and 590mm schmolke bars.
I ll let you know the differences...
