brake pad

i recently purchased a shimano zee ice teck brake pad for my front brake will it be ok to use standard brake pad on rear brake

I just use Ice Tech pads up front on my XT brakes. I am both thrifty, and desire awesome brake power. Unfortunately, I can't tell the difference between Ice Tech pads and shimano's other pads, so I won't be purchasing another set.

Ice tech only makes a difference if you would otherwise overheat the pad, as you can't brake as hard at the rear (it locks up) then you are less likely to overheat it.

You need to be doing some serious downhill to overheat the pad anyway.

I swapped out to the non find type and saved 7g. Looks nicer too.

Yes, "Finned" as in, it has fins on it.
