So I have ZTR crest rims on my bike, but overtime I've started using 2.4 tires. The 24.4mm rims are definitely not a good match, Can't lower the pressure much because starts to fold to the sides in short corners.

I'm looking for alternatives for wider rims but still light and affordable as the Crest. Any suggestions? perhaps something around 30mm rims would work great with my 2.4 tires?

Perhaps Ryde Trance Enduro? They are 29mm wide (interior) and about the same price as the Stan's. However they are a bit heavier, I think they should be around 460g in 650b, which is the lightest and widest for an aluminium rim what I saw. Those will be probably my next rim, just waiting for more real world reviews.

Try the Chinese carbon rims.

Great value for money. :)

ZTR Flow would suite, but a fair bit heavier than your crests!

How about the new Notubes Hugo52, would almost flush with the 2.4 tire (61mm)! But no info if they sell the rim only :(

The new Velocity SS series might fit the bill. 26.6mm internal/30 external.
27.5-390g
29-425g

Wider still would be the Wide Lighting from American Classic

Great advice on the velocity blunt ss, only released a few days ago, I hadn't heard of them. 25g heavier than Stan's crest but much wider.(27.5)

Like drider85 mentioned, I've been looking at the American Classic Wide Lightning. Around $800 if you look around, 30mm wide internal, and 1570 grams.

If I can stretch the budget I will be getting the new Nox Composite Farlow 29 carbon rims. 29mm internal, 1600 grams, but basically double the price depending on hub choice.

As freeriderxy suggested, I may just try the cheap chinese carbons, but just not 100% sold on those at the moment??
