I was browsing their website and found that they are going to introduce carbon MTB clincher rims. 320 gms and basically everything is unlimited, from riders weight to spoke tension. http://www.mcfk.de/2/felge/29er.html

They are just about the perfect width as I think some of the very wide rims lately are too wide and change the tire profile too much. The offset spoke bed is a good idea too. The weight is top notch. I think the warranty dept. will want to fire the dept. that said no limit on spoke tension, rider weight, etc.
For certain parts stiffer is more important than lighter.

Probably because they think there won't be enough buyers?

Yea, and as soon as they kill 26 they will come out with 28 and kill 27 Then they will come out with 30 and kill 29, etc.

Their new 650b rim has a claimed weight of 295 grams also with no limits. I like the width, which seems about perfect for XC.

Have there been any inclinations of pricing around anywhere? Will they be expensive or ridiculously expensive? The spec of the rims certainly looks very interesting

I'd assume ridiculously expensive based on their other stuff!

Yep, fair assumption I'd guess! Hard to justify spending more than LightBicycle prices as the jump up to AX/ ENVE is just so huge and I'd have thought most people would notice the loss to the wallet more than they notice any gain to the bike :)

Agreed, assuming they come in as claimed you're talking 35g/rim less than a Light Bicycle, and I'm going to guess at €800/rim. So yes... how much do you really want to save that weight!?
