Hi. As the title said, I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about the strengths of lightweight fork axles (such as Extralite, Tune etc.) compared to the originals from Fox, RS, Marz etc.? I'm riding street (as in jumping around, doing tricks), and I wonder if the lightweight options are any good for this kind of use? I currently use a 2015 RS Maxle, btw.
Any help is appreciated.

I've got a Tune DC15 thru axle for Fox forx & it has been fine. I've done small 2ft drops, rock gardens a few thousand miles on it & never had any cause for concern. I think the earliest Tune version had an aluminium threaded piece that had issues, the more recent versions have a titanium section thats reliable. my only slight issue is the carbon fibre lever is considerably thinner than the stock fox/shimano lever & isnt as comfortable to tighten, but thats only a minor quibble.
I'd gladly get a matching rear Tune thru axle, if I can find one cheap enough...

The Tune axle worked perfectly for me too. But changed fork now so not using it anymore. If anyone wants a Tune 15mm for Fox, send me a message. Or change it for a DT one
Should it be any difference? The Tune axle is pretty normal except the lever which I want as small as possible.
