I currently have an OPI fork on my 2012 Flash and the stem angle is not aggressive enough. I would like to find an aftermarket headtube to run a normal stem with and I am aware of the MCFK offering, but wanted to know of any other companies that make a similar product that people on here have actually used?

Why not get a Leonardi stem?
The other offerings are usually heavier. I can't remember who posted the weights previously, but the MCFK setup wasn't significantly lighter.

Leonardi steerer? Project 321 steerer?

To be honest, in a similar situation I'd just go for the funky Leonardi OPI stem :D

I had a Project 321. It was so flexy the headset couldn't stay tight.

I replaced it with one from Black Cat Bone. No more headset issues.

Experimental Prototype has one too I think.

I'd also go with the Leonardi option. Anton Cooper uses one, and so did Manuel Fumic in Méribel.

Thanks for the replies. I am not super interested in the Leonardi one as the purpose of this mod for me is not to save weight, but to be able to use a normal stem so I can fine tune the angle. I want to run a -17 or more stem.

Can someone provide a link to the Black Cat Bone tube, I can't seem to locate their actual site?

My mistake. The Project 321 was aluminium and weighed a ton. I replaced it with an Experimental Prototype. After waiting months for it, and spending an inordinate amount of time chasing Mattias to actually get it, it was flexy as hell. The Black Cat Bone guys were fast, with great communication, and delivered a lighter and much stiffer steerer tube.

I'll see if I can dig out an email contract for Black Cat Bone. I'm not sure they have a website. I found them through a blog.

EDIT: Sorry, can't find an email address (changed countries and jobs, and had contacted them through a work email address), but you could get in touch through Facebook:

Been riding the last few years with a carbon steerer from Matthias (Experimental Prototype) and i never experienced any flex.

Privateer: sorry I left you with a bad experience, sometimes things just do wrong when keeping many balls in the air.
Flexy Lefty tubes from me? Have you read the weight limits and riding style limits?, I use my own stuff in a long time and have all my body parts intact, (head not included).
Flexion can happen if glue has a failed bond between the aluminum rings and the carbon tube.

Regarding Black Cat Bone, the people who run this company are my friends, I are not sure if they sell their own products anymore. I can ask one of them if you want.

/Mattias one in all in the company E|P.

Mattias- I would greatly appreciate it if you could ask them if they would produce one for me! I really want to run a normal -20 stem.
