Just got a Flash 29er and love the bike, but hate the high front end...I am only 5'9. I have the -15degree opi stem and still need the front end lower. I had a thought....could you run a riser bar up-side-down to get a lower position? Just a thought.....

Most bars have upsweep. If you flip them you would have upsweep that goes down (downsweep???). Not sure if it would be comfortable. Do you current bars have any rise to them?

There are Ritchey bars with negative drop designed for 29-ers.

You can also get a stem like the one form Leonardi racing.

You can start by removing any spacers if there are any. Lower headset cover can help too.

I also just found the Syntace vector Low10.....has a -10 degree, seems like an option :D

Same problem here, yet I'm 5' 5"

I have a specialized stem with a shim (supplied) in it, I think it's a neg 19, possibly more.

Might help solve your issues.

The Leonardi stem is awesome. I bought one for my friend from R2, if I rode a Canondale I would have one for sure.

I'll chuck my vote in for a leonardi stem. I have one of the -20 in 120mm... It's still to short but 140mm isn't an option "sigh". Also consider a fork reducer. Common on lefty forks, reduces the travel of the fork and brings the front end down.
I guess there's worse hobbies than making a bike light? Right?

I heard a few pro's have their lefty fork down to 70mm....is that a option for us "non-pro's"?? if yes how would I get the proper spacer?

I ended up running a Ritchey Pro 30 deg stem setup negative.

Flash uses OPI stem system, so a ritchey stem wouldn't work

FWIW, Ritchey now offers a -25-degree version of their very light C260 stem:

It won't work on a Cannondale, but I'm tempted to get one for my Tallboy.

Cheers,

Jason
