699 Euro's? That's expensive. Worth getting one here and sending it. Let me know if you need any help from this end

Frank, nzkiwiguy has a good point.

Check the exchange rate out right now the Dollar just dropped again against the Euro.

You might be better off buying it here (US) subject to what your import duties are?

Check out these prices from Froogle:

Well, i'll keep that in mind.

I couln'd find a ghost at froogle though. A search on "scandium" also came up with the kona kula primo scandium. How about that bike? Anyone tried it?
I'd prefer kona over salsa, because i like kona more.

Thanks guys!

How does Scandium compare to carbon frames?
I'm lookiong for a stiff but comfortable road frame and have heard little about Scanduim.

Frankie, watch the quality of the welding on the starship frame, the quaity of the tubes is only the first half of a quality frame.

Cheers

Brian

Ok, buying in the states would be cheaper. But how about waranty then?
I've already broken a GT avalanche LE frame due to bad welding. It got replaced. What happens if i buy in the states and dammage a frame?

Frankie - email the company and ask them. Some are easy to work with some are not. Kona and Salsa are big companies. I am sure someone imports their frames to the E.U. Just buy a couple of Derailuer hangers when you get the frame.

If your local LBS sells Kona then you could always fall back on them for support, possibly!

If you want light and cheapest scandium frame out there, why not choosing JBC frame. JBC and Scott are both in the same companies.
But still ,Giant XTC team frame weight slightly lighter than JBC scandium.
:P . I still dont know what Giant frame of aluminium 6013xx made of? jeez, im abit confuse. :?
