Has any one tried or is using this German:Answer Xcite Criterion 29er Fork

As 120 mm travel, 36mm tubes and sub 1500 g weight this sounds a potential choice for a WW trail rider.

This guy had the X-cite fork - from what he wrote it started to leak after 3-4 rides and seems like he has a Magura fork now. Don't know what happened with the German:A fork - maybe he can tell the story himself.

German:A Xcite is the stiffest XCfork with two legs I've tried. But first I got the wrong fork, then the right one started to leak as Mads wrote. New damper that didn't have any compression. Kit to fix it. Then I saw that the damper was wrong size. Sent the fork back with an angry e-mail and got my money back from a sad seller (not German:A). German:A did all fails they could so felt a bit bad for the seller.

If you live close to a dealer or at least in EU and get the right fork from the beginning it's super. But with my problems with them I can never recommend German:A and they know about it. Sad thing is that I really miss the stiffness and how it worked the few times it worked and it matched my Liteville perfect. A Fox 32 is extremely flexy compared to German:A, my Magura TS8 is somewhere between.

Go with another fork and be happy for a long time is my suggestion.

It sounds similar to cerro's experience in that it was a good fork, but had some teething problems....

Thanks for the experiences, I am looking something stiff enough for 100 kg guy, but needs to be lighter than my Talas 32.
