I'm running Racing Ralph's on a 5" bike.

2.4" of course.

Yeah, obviously to each his/her own, but I don't see any problem with a RaRa on a longer travel bike, particularly on the back wheel. If you look at a lot of the pro enduro race bikes, they are running semi knob tires on the back, like the Rock Razor (admittedly that one does have pretty big side knobs), or other brands of less aggressive treads.

I personally would run at least a Nobby Nick on the front though, and they are still pretty darn light and fast rolling.

Even if your trails are pretty abrasive, you can run the snake skin versions of the above and get by pretty well.
