Hi, I'm about 6'2 and 75-78kgs (on the heavier side of that ATM!) But I'm just quite long, fairly long legs and very long arms which is why I needed the XL.
Think I will get some rons, or maybe a RoRo/RaRa F/R. Need to start entering some more races! The bike has been weighed, at 9.9kgs on the nose. Without bottle cages, but with pedals. XT pedals not XTR pedals. XTR are a 34g saving. So take that off and add on a elite custom cage and you're back to 9.9! Also with rotors, I am looking at the Quaxar Axim Floating rotors at 70g for the 160mm and I think they look pretty smart too. http://www.xcracer.com/shop/viewproduct ... ductid=299
As for the wheel sizing, I test rode both a 650B and 29er, A specialised Carve (L) and the Giant in both a L and XL frame size. Whilst the 29er was brilliant fun, and I will try and build up a cheap 29er as my next bike just for fooling around on because it was great. However I felt very high up! And the bike is so long, I forever kept thinking I was going to clip the rear wheel on obstacles. So for a lot of my recreational riding and winter riding a 29er would've been the way to go, however on the race course the 650B made perfect sense for me with quicker steering and acceleration. Hope this helps!
