I may get some shimano XTR m987 brakes, which apparently, are only i-spec B-type compatible.
I already have some shimano XTR i-spec shifters but im not sure they will fit the new brakes. I need to know if they will or not. I have attached 3 pictures, one of which shows the hardware that came with the shifters to attach to the brakes.
Anyone is sure it will fit i-spec b-type?

The original I-Spec clamps won't work with the new I-Spec B mounts according to shimano. There may be some sort of work around, but officially it won't work.
EDIT: the picture wasn't accurate, so I took it down. The only mix matching that will work is I-Spec B Shifters with I-Spec A brake levers.

So mine are i spec b? Therefore they will work with 987?

Oh sorry, yeah that will work, those are I spec b shifters. I apparently have no reading comprehension... For some reason I was under the impression that you had I spec a shifters, but looking back at the pictures, those are definitely I spec b.
