I did not think so, but I use it at least 50% more than my remote hydraulic lock out on my other bike with SID's. Its so quick and easy to flick the rotary switch with your thumb, I even use it on very small climbs, accelerating out of corners or flat sections that I previously would not.
It makes a difference, see here----https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrtCONIqTT4

I thought that too...until I rode a bike with a remote. When the lever is in a convenient spot...I found that I used it quite often.
Soon as I got back on my bike without the remote...I forgot that I have a lockout.

I just got the 9.8sl, size 19"
Frame only was 985grams with bidon bolts and derailleur hanger/142x12 dropout hardware.
GXP BB95 bottom bracket was 75grams.
Included 31.8 seat post clamp was 15grams.
Highly underrated frame. Can't believe more weenies aren't using these for light builds. So well finished.
Waiting on my 51mm offset SID World Cup to build it up.

Beautiful cranks there! I've got my 9.8SL being delivered this week, and aside from new wheels, saddle, and swapping the XX1 cassette from my other bike, I'll be looking at new cranks to drop some weight.
Think the X1 1400's run about 800 grams, and it looks like XX1 arms won't do much weight wise. Are the new XTR 9020 or Race Face SL compatible with the 9.8SL?? Those are looking like the best 2 options to drop some weight...
