I have a 2010 Scale35.
It's only easy to lose weight by going with tubeless/tubular wheels, saddle, pedals. Other that that it gets pricey - a new cassette and crank for example.

Your seatpost and saddle aren't the lightest. Also, tubeless, as suggested, will improve the ride quality and probably lower the weight, if your tubes are really that heavy.

thanks for your input
New seatpost ordered. I will consider going tubeless, but for now i will use my lightweight tubes. I love my saddle. Can use it for houers with out notice it. so i will not part with it.

I've just gone sub 14lb with my Scale and yes it does get a tad expensive.

The quick and cheap savings I can see are:

Headset Ritchey Superlogic would save 55g

Quaxar Rotors 160 + 160 would save 110g

XTR cassette will save you around 150g

M980 rear mech (med) would save 60g

MT Zoom Skewers another 80g

KCNC Eva grips will save 95g

MT Zoom or Tune Seat clamp will save 30g

Tyres have a bit of room for lighter ones depending on style but should do and easy 100-150g reduction there.

Hope that helps
Gary

I have now weighed every part of the bike axcept the frame. So the frame must weight including bb and headset bearings 1176gr.
The fork is a Heavy beast at 1716 gr. light weight fork i guess would reduce the weight a lot. Sounds expensive. Any suggestions???
The beast
