Is all mounting hardware for disc brakes universal? I am now using Avid Elixir CR disc brakes.....I am getting a pair of Formula R1 brakes that have no hardware included, will the Avid hardware I am using now work with the formula R1 brakes?? thanks!

So long as they're the same mount system as in IS or post mount then they'll bolt straight on*

The one thing you might wish to check is rotor width, I've got R1s on A2Z Teppan Yaki SP4 rotors and they're fine but I know some others have had issues with pad rubbing on R1s, should still be fine though.

Guys I'm riding a XTC Composite with 180mm rotors fitted with adaptor (SM-MA-F180P/P2). What would I need to get down to 160F/140R? Would removing of the adaptor only allows down to 160mm front rear?

Thanks!
