If you do still have v-brakes it seems that you need to have a wheelbuilder build you a set of light weight wheels. Is there any ready made light wheelsets available that are v-brake compatible anywhere?

Thanks-----those products would definitely make your wallet extralite.

Guess I'll have to go to a custom wheel builder then.

Well for those still using v-brakes or even cantilever on your MTB's there's a few suppliers on Ebay----there not dramatically light but their not super expensive either.

Hi Dragon.
I'm a passionate rim-braker !
(Only Magúra HS33 tp.1 for Me.)
Check My thread regarding Wheels. Mavic crossmax V-brake. I know they are sold out from shops, but many fine sets on ebay, or close-outs from large online retailers.
I am always on the hunt for ceramic surfaces (MUST be 100% intact....)
Link to My thread (lots of older fine parts too, and why i choose them.)http://weightweenies.starbike.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=115305&start=30.
I also like Specialized. I got M4, and M5 alu MTB's.
Good luck with build.

I ride crossmax sl, the first one, with aluminium front hub, and i'm very satisfied. Perfect and reliable wheels for racing, easy to maintain

some nice sets on ebay:

late one with carbon front hub
